NPCC chastise State Govt over teachers’ salary

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 5 (MExN): Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) on Saturday said that blaming the Government of India (GoI) for non-release of funds as the reason for non-payment of the salaries due, cannot cover the failure on the part of the Nagaland State Government to regulate the system of paying salaries. Chastising the State Government for firing water cannons to agitating SSA teachers demanding their six months pending salary, Media Cell, NPCC in a press note asserted that the GoI would have no plans to withhold salaries for six months; therefore, the issue could only be of “misuse and mismanagement.” “Teachers are the most respected professionals. One vacates seats for teachers in buses, trains, courts and in other nations, they are given priorities for their noble services. The future is with them. They deserve to be paid their salaries on time. NPCC does not like to see such excuses,” the press note read.
