
Hands over vehicle to six DCCs in Nagaland

The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) handed over six new vehicles (Bolero) to six District Congress Committees as part of the launching of NPCC 'Election War Room.' The event was held at Congress Bhavan Kohima on July 5.
The vehicles were handed over by NPCC president K. Therie to six DCCs-Phek, Mokokchung, Kiphire, Wokha, Zunheboto and Mon.
Therie said that the remaining DCCs will also get the vehicles in the second phase in few months time. Out of 15 vehicles sanctioned to NPCC by All India Congress Committee (AICC), six vehicles were given to six DCCs in the first phase today.
NPCC working president P. Ayang Aonok informed that alongside with the handing over of vehicles to the DCCs, the NPCC launched “NPCC Election War Room” to propagate the strategy of NPCC to the grassroots.
Aonok urged upon the DCCs to make the best use of the provided vehicles and strengthen the party in their respective districts. He also told them to visit their respective assembly constituencies and educate the villagers and work out strategy.
NPCC general secretary Jonathan said that the vehicle to the NPCC was made possible under the leadership of NPCC president K. Therie in a year time. Renovation of Congress Bhavan was also done under his leadership. “He is a man of word,” he said and thanked the latter for his contribution.
Chairing the function, NPCC general secretary Dokiu Kicham said, “We are going to form the government in 2018 election under the leadership of K. Therie.”
Temjen Sempo, Associate Pastor, Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo prayed for the programme.
