DIMAPUR, APRIL 22 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) expressed sadness over the sudden upsurge of violence amongst certain groups/organisations in Dimapur, which created fear psychosis in the minds of the general people threatening peaceful coexistence. In a press communiqué issued by Medokul Sophie, MLA General Secretary NPCC, the party appealed to the aggrieved parties to restrain from further escalation of the incident so that the situation is not aggravated but resolved in a peaceful manner. The NPCC also condemned the total failure of the DAN Government in maintaining law and order situation in the State because of which such unwanted circumstances have been cropping up amongst the Naga brethren, it stated. “Despite having full knowledge about the happenings in Dimapur since last night, the DAN Government failed to initiate any action to take stock of the situation. This shows the total negligence of the NPF-led DAN Government towards maintaining a peaceful atmosphere.” the NPCC stated.
