Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): During its Goodwill tour to Kiphire and Tuensang districts, the NPCC team interacted with students of Zisaji Presidency Government College in Kiphire on August 17 and Sao Chang College in Tuensang on August 18 in their respective college campuses.
The main objective of the mission undertaken with the theme “Step to Future” was to connect and share ideas that are relevant for younger generations “who are well informed with easy access to IT & social media networks,” stated a press release issued by Media Cell, NPCC.
Many students, according to the release, “grilled” the NPCC team on a host of issues ranging from corruption, backdoor appointments to social and economic issues plaguing the district/state.
In both the interaction programmes, Jonathan Ao, NPCC General Secretary introduced the NPCC team, while Ayang Aonok, Working President, NPCC gave the introductory address. The speech of NPCC President, K Therie was read out by Capt GK Zhimomi, Chairman, NPCC Media Cell, who also anchored the interaction sessions.
The NPCC has lauded the principals, faculty members and students of both the colleges for giving them the opportunity to interact with young minds and understand their aspirations and hope for the future. It also appreciated the active participation of students during the interactive sessions and acknowledged their concerns on issues that have direct bearing on their future.
As brought out during the interactive session, NPCC assured that it will remain steadfast in its commitment to provide clean governance with accountability if given a chance to be in a position to make decisions.
