NPCC pays homage to Gandhi

Members of Minority Department, NPCC on the occasion of 72nd death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi held at Dimapur DCC office on January 30.
Dimapur, January 30 (MExN): The Minority Department Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee organised ‘Ekta Sammelan’ programme on the occasion of 72nd death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at Dimapur DCC office on January 30.
The meeting was chaired by DDCC Secretary, Kutoho Chishi, invocation was said by NK Naga and speeches were delivered by NPCC, Minority Chairman, Rajesh Kumar Sethi followed by DDCC President Tsenthungo Lotha, DDCC Secretary Ajit Gogoi, Minority member Sallaikur.
Terming Mahatma as the ‘apostle of Peace,’ Sethi in his speech called on the gathering to pledge to adhere to Gandhi’s ideals of non violence, communal harmony and to rededicate in pursuing the path of universal peace showed by him.
Ajit Gogoi in his speech talked about the implications of CAA and cautioned on the impact of ILP, if implemented in Dimapur.
Later, the members paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by showering of flower petals on his portrait.
