Dimapur, February 3 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) today vehemently warned an organization calling itself the “All India Congress Social Organization” to stop enrolling members and collecting membership fees in the state. The stated “All India Congress Social Organization” has been on an enrollment drive under the theme “to work to bring Congress to power,” the NPCC stated in a note today.
The NPCC has no knowledge of such an organization, the committee said. The organization is using the “to work to bring Congress to power” theme and enrolling members by collecting registration fees from all over the districts purportedly under the “patronage” of (AICC president) Sonia Gandhi, the NPCC stated.
“The NPCC has no knowledge of such dubious organization existing or affiliated with the Indian National Congress here in Nagaland or elsewhere. Therefore the NPCC has issued strict warning to the so-called organization to immediately stop its enrolment process wherein the name of the party is being misused to fool the innocent members, in order to avert legal course of action against it,” the Congress said.
The public is also cautioned not to be deceived by the “All India Congress Social Organization.” The NPCC has directed its functionaries in the districts to be vigilant and report to the NPCC if activities of the said organization continue.
