Kohima, October 12 (MExN): Responding to the recent attack levelled against the party by the NPCC, the Nagaland State BJP Media Cell issued a statement terming the attack as ridiculous. The statement said that the BJP party has considered Nagaland as “a gift to this beautiful Nation” and this has been reflected in the speeches and views of BJP leaders including Vajpayee and Modi. The BJP takes pride in having Nagaland as a state “where the humility of the people, their rich heritage, vibrant culture and traditions glorify India's Pride.”
The BJP stated that there should be no doubt about the commitment of the Central government “to achieve permanent peace with honor and dignity for the people of Nagaland”. Adding that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first to recognise the “unique history of the Nagas” and that the congress “has no right to teach naga people by spreading negativity”.
The BJP further stated that “Words without action is as good as dead” and it is only the BJP that has given hope to the Nagas “to choose the actual way of development and peace”. The BJP claimed that it is the “only the platform that has paved way and given aspiration and hope to our Naga motherland to pursue a prosperous future” and the solution can be brought only by the BJP.
