Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): The BJP Nagaland today scoffed at the Congress Party by maintaining that the “intolerance statement of NPCC towards BJP shows the real frustration of the party. ”
The frustration, according to a press note from Media Cell, BJP Nagaland, was instigated by the fact that “the Congress is diminishing by the people mandate in all election fronts.”
The world and the nation knows that and the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) is getting ‘restless’ witnessing the rapid growth of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Nagaland and all over the country, it said.
“The Congressmen are deserting the party knowing that it is sinking and shall be drown ultimately,” it added.
Responding to NPCC contention that “just a resolution is not enough” to attest its secular credential, the BJP Nagaland maintained that it believe in “providing good governance and free from corruption.”
“The BJP has emerged as the largest secular political party in the world and want the State of Nagaland to witness the pragmatic approach for all round development in the near future,” it asserted.
It further distanced itself from alleged influence of the RSS stating that, “The BJP is a secular political party for good governance and registered under the Election Commission of India whereas RSS is a cultural organisation.”
While the Government of India has declared former Prime Minister AB Vajpayee’s birthday on December 25 as Governance Day, BJP Nagaland and the State Government have been observing the same “either before or after” December 25, it added.
It also pointed the celebration of April 14 as Digital Day honouring Dr. Ambedkar, on Good Friday this year was just a coincidence. “Good Friday dates keep changing every year and this year it happened to coincide.”
The International Yoga Day on the June 21 was also declared by the United Nation, it added.
In this regard, the BJP Nagaland urged the people not to be swayed by the “rumours or cheap political propaganda but to have confidence in the Indian constitution as it provide protection and guarantee to freedom of religion or faith to every citizen.”
