Kohima, January 13 (MExN): Naga People's Front (NPF) central youth wing has called the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee’s (NPCC) “blame game” against the state chief minister and home minister as “barren and insensitive.”
Reacting to NPCC’s statement on the recent sensational incident at Aghuito and Mukalimi designated camp episode, a press release from NPF members secretary, Media Cell, Janbemo Humtsoe opined that even after getting crystal summary from the home minister’s desk, NPCC is still “beating around the bush” characterized by “verbosity on chief minister and home minister’s remaining in deep slumber in defusing the Mukalimi standoff which was totally contemptuous and hypocritical.”
The youth wing “regretfully” stated that “when the long cherished ongoing India-Naga political peace talk is nearing to ripe, NPCC, instead of shouldering the responsibilities collectively on a sensitive issues like Mukulimi has again reversed back to pollute already restored peaceful environment.” It accused NPCC of trying to politicize the issue by acting as safe outside player.
The youth wing further stated that NPF-led DAN government is “not a dictatorial government like Fuehrer’s Nazism in Germany that abused its constitutional powers without further reasoning. DAN government, the young wing said, is people's mandate democratic government, in which the leaders govern with due interest from the people and the voice of the people are subject to understanding.
It also declared that it was “undesirable” to see NPCC “stand on divisive theory to resort to emotional terror amongst the peace loving citizens” when Mukalimi episode was already pacified through collective efforts from government agencies, churches, NGOs and Hoho's.
The youth wing appealed the peace loving Nagas not to be traumatized by “baffling” statement made by NPCC, but come forward and reconcile to “regain the sinking boat of Naga National Movement.”
