NPF 28th Koridang wants more Mkg MLAs inducted in cabinet

Mokokchung, August 3 (MExN): The NPF 28th Koridang Assembly Constituency in its general meeting on August 2 expressed gratitude the Chief Minister for inducting Imkong L Imchen into his cabinet. However, it lamented that out of 8 NPF MLAs and 2 independent MLAs from Mokokchung district who had supported the “present movement,” the CM could induct only one minister into the cabinet. This, it said, has resulted in misunderstanding and mistrust within the district stating Mokokchung district is not fairly represented in the present cabinet because the Speaker of the Assembly is not considered as cabinet under the constitution.

Therefore, the NPF 28th Koridang A/C urged the CM to address the issue at the earliest.

A press release from General Secretary K. Lanutemjen Imchen and President Imtinungsang Imchen of NPF 28th Koridang A/C further congratulated Neiphiu Rio for accepting the position of interim NPF President and expressed confidence that under his leadership, the party will win over the trust and confidence of the people of Nagaland and repose their mandate again during 2018 general assembly election.

The general meeting also endorsed Imkong L Imchen for various decisions taken during the recent political development. Further, it authorised him to take any decisions that may be required even in the future for the interest of the people of Nagaland in general and the people of NPF 28th Koridang A/C in particular.
