The office takeover ceremony of the Nagaland People’s Front (NPF), 38 Assembly Constituency (A/C) Wokha, was held at NST Colony, Wokha, on September 12.
The programme was led by NPF 38 A/C President Yanphamo Tungoe, while Rev. O. Thungben Kikon, Pastor of Wokha Village, offered the dedicatory prayer. This was followed by the hoisting of the party flag by 38 A/C MLA Y. Mhonbemo Humtsoe.
During the programme, the NPF Wokha Division President and Secretary General spoke on the history and establishment of the party office.
Addressing the gathering, Y. Mhonbemo Humtsoe acknowledged Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton for his contribution towards acquiring the party house during his tenure as an NPF MLA.
Humtsoe urged party workers and supporters to work selflessly towards strengthening the party, maintaining unity and contributing to the development of the constituency. He also highlighted the party’s motto, “Fide Non Armis” (By Faith, Not by Arms).
The MLA further reiterated his support for Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s vision and said the party would continue to play its role in safeguarding the rights of the Naga people, while upholding their distinct beliefs and faith practices.
The programme concluded with a mass prayer.
