Wokha, February 6 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) of 38 Wokha Assembly Constituency today responded to the press statement of Woshomo Pius Ezung, president, JD (U) 38 Wokha A/C published on February 6.
“The FIR lodged by JD (U) President against the damage of vehicles and involving the NPF intending candidate of 38 Wokha A/C does not arise. Instead they (JD-U and Y.M. The NPF unit alleged that on February 4 around 5:00 pm at Wokha Village Eloe Hoho office (kitchen), an IED bomb was found planted by supporters of the rival candidate.
“Fortunately, the bomb was discovered before explosion,” saving precious lives, added the rejoinder from the NPF unit president, Yiben Tungoe and general secretary, Thungbemo Tsanglao.
According to the party, Wokha Village Council lodged an FIR at Wokha Police Station on the same day.
Further on January 18, it alleged, there was an “attempt to murder Renbithung Yanthan of GA Colony at Wokha Town” by one supporter of the rival candidate. In this connection, an FIR was lodged at Wokha Police Station by Humtso Union Wokha Town; however, no one has been arrested so far, it added.
