NPF as a political party wants to bring peace: Dikho

Senapati, October 15 (MExN): Manipur PHED Minister Losü Dikho stated that Naga People’s Front (NPF) should be credited for providing political stability in Manipur on many occasions without conditions.

The party will stand for tribal rights with special focus on border trades, tourism, education, sports & youth development and people's oriented projects, he said while speaking at the Get-Together program of village leaders and party workers of 48-Mao Assembly Constituency at Asufü, Mao on October 14.

The programme was attended by CSOs village council, women organisations and youth organisations of 48-Mao Assembly constituency.

The NPF as a political party wants to bring peace in the land, aspire peace to remain in the land and don’t want any confrontation, violence or problem in the land and has progressed in different fields through the party, he said.

Later, briefing media persons, Dikho said the NPF is always behind the BJP led Government to usher peace and tranquility in the state and will continue to do so even in future. He appreciated the central BJP leaders under the leadership of the Prime Minister Modi for seriously taking the Indo-Naga Peace process, which, he said is the main concern of the people. Once the Naga settlement is brought, the NPF leader is hopeful of a peaceful environment in Manipur, he said. He believed that the relationship between the tribal and the other majority community would improve too.

NPF leader and former ADC Chairman ML Markson and LM Tabitha, Former President, Naga Women's Union also spoke at the programme.
