
Dimapur, June 18 (MExN): The Naga people’s Front today ‘congratulated’ Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the DAN government “on the remarkable achievement” of “bringing a record highest” plan allocation for Nagaland of what the NPF gave the figure as “Rs. 2212 crores.”
A note from the NPF’s media bureau even asserted that the generous plan allocation “is a result of the positive performance of the DAN government” The party asserted that the high Plan allocation comes in the wake of what the NPF bureau claimed is “dedicated efforts of the DAN leadership in the face of adverse recommendations of the 13th Finance Commission.”
The NPF thanks the Prime Minister and Union Finance Minister, the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India and Nagaland’s Governor Nikhil Kumar. “Our special gratitude is expressed to the UPA Government and its leadership for appreciating the support being extended to the UPA.”
The NPF added an appeal to its note to all “agitating members of government servants” to call off their agitation and “accept and appreciate the generous offer of the state government.”
