Kohima, October 4 (MExN): The Central Office Bearers (COB) of Shürhozelie-led Naga People’s Front (NPF), while reiterating its support to the ongoing peace process vis-à-vis political talks between the NSCN (IM) and Government of India (GOI) has lauded the GOI for extending invitation to the Working Group of the NNPGs for political negotiation.
This resolution was made during the meeting of the COB held on October 4 at the party Central office in Kohima. The meeting noted that it has been the unwavering stand of the NPF that solution should be inclusive of all stakeholders so as to bring permanent peace, according to a press release from Pusazo Luruo, Vice President & Convenor, Achumbemo Kikon, Spokesperson & Member Secretary, and S. Akang, Secretary & Member of NPF.
Further, the COBs appealed to the NSCN (K) to renounce violence and come back to the negotiating table with the GOI, which they said is the ardent desire of the Naga people.
The COB meanwhile reaffirmed its “unflinching support” to the leadership of its president, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu. They endorsed the president to summon the meeting of the Central Executive Council (CEC) to deliberate as well as fix the date and venue for the upcoming General Convention of the NPF.
