Dimapur, May 20 (MExN): The NPF Dimapur division consultative meeting was held in the new office complex, Landmark Colony, PWD at 10:00 am today. The division Vice President, Timir Choudhury in a press release stated that the meeting was chaired by K. Shilu Sangtam, Dimapur division NPF President.
Speaking on the occasion, Azheto Zhimomi, MLA, Advisor, Co-operation and Sericulture, Government of Nagaland appreciated the division for calling the consultative meet saying it was the right forum to discuss and deliberate with the party workers. He also lauded the NPF Dimapur Division for their contributions during the by-election to the 26 Aoenglenden A/C.
Lamenting his own luck as he had to contest three elections in a span of five years, he said that he has not been able to help the party workers as he would have desired. All works programme was chalked out before he rejoined the NPF party as his tenure in the present Government was only one year and seven months. However, he assured that he would do his best to help the party workers despite the fact that he was the lone MLA from the entire district representing the ruling party.
Others who spoke in the meeting included T. L. Merry, Vice President, NPF Central Office I/C Dimapur, Rokonicha, Ex-Candidate from 5 – Ghaspani – II A/C, Savi Legise, Ex-Candidate from 2 – Dimapur –II A/C. Besides party workers from all five Assembly segments, many Ex-DMC Members also attended the meeting and spoke on the problem faced by the party and the remedial measures which needs to be adopted.
