Leader of Naga People's Front (NPF) Legislature Party, Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu today said that the party is expecting some 'good players' to join the party to strengthen them. “We will build up a new and strong team to play with others in the coming tournament,” the leader said while speaking at the NPF 60th Foundation in Kohima.
Stating that the out of 25 NPF MLAs, only 4 stayed back with the party while 21 defected to NDPP, he described the 4 remaining as 'heroes of the party.' Even with the major defection that came as a setback for the party and Nagas as a whole, Liezietsu however said the "party organizations at different levels remain intact."
In this regard, he advised the party leaders to tell people about the stand, policies and principles of the party. It is we who are to go and tell them how to take a stand to bring peace and unity among the people, how to create economic independence, how to improve human development in various ways, he said.
Stating that the party has no second thought in extending support to the call of election boycott by Eastern Naga Public Organization, the party leader added that the party cannot go against the wishes of the ENPO area or anywhere else. The party leader also congratulated the formation of 'Council of Naga relationships and cooperation' by the national workers while affirming the stand of a settlement which is honourable, acceptable and inclusive.
MLA & Leader, NPF Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo Azo Neinu, describing the party as the oldest regional party in the state and the 2nd in the country said the party has stood the test of time. Neinu said the party belonged to the people.
He questioned whether they are committed and can commit like the past and present luminaries and called to change attitude towards party outlook.

During the programme, a welcoming service of Dr Roland Lotha, Intending Candidate 39 AC Sanis was also held.
