Peren, March 30 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF), Peren Division conducted its first Assembly Constituency tour of the 7 Peren A/C at the NPF Conference Hall, Jalukie on Monday, with participation of party leaders, workers and the public.
NPF Peren Division president Kiengau Nda lauded party workers for their support to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister T R Zeliang, who represents the constituency, and urged continued unity and commitment.
Secretary COB and Assistant Division in-charge Akwa Iheilung emphasised coordination and discipline among members, while resource person S Shingnyu Khiam highlighted the need for strong organisational structure, grassroots mobilisation and effective leadership.
During the interactive session, N R Zeliang and Hupun Zeliang also shared views on party growth and development. Speakers appreciated developmental works in the constituency, noting improvements in infrastructure and public services.
The house unanimously adopted a resolution seeking construction of a multipurpose hall with a seating capacity of over 1,000 to support social, cultural and official activities.
The programme concluded with remarks by Iherie Ndang, Vice President, COB and Assistant Division in-charge, who thanked participants.
The tour ended on a positive note, reaffirming the party’s focus on grassroots engagement, unity and inclusive development across Peren district.
