Meluri, July 19 (MExN): The NPF’s 20 A/C Meluri has placed its “full confidence, trust and respect” on its elected representative Yitachu.
The NPF Meluri in a press release stated that it was constraint to issue this rejoinder against what it termed “the condemnable statement of the dissidents group against our elected member Yitachu”.
Accusing the “dissident group” of making personal attack on the integrity of their elected member, the NPF Meluri argued that the use of “unparliamentary words” is unbecoming of any political party.
“We, as electorates of 20 Meluri A/C are witness to the fact that he had never hoodwinked his people for his personal gain,” the NPF Meluri stated and argued that Yitachu's position in the party has been "crystal clear all along".
The NPF Meluri recalled the tussles in 2014 and 2015, during which Yitachu had stood with T.R. Zeliang on both occasions “because he [TR] had the favour of NPF party”.
“Likewise, even in the recent crisis, he stood with the party irrespective of whether the group was in majority or minority,” it stated and reasoned that during all these crises, he had stood with the party and never wavered from the party principle.
“Therefore, no matter what happens, we are proud and shall not be disheartened,” the NPF Meluri maintained.
“We shall always be proud of every decision he take and shall stand united and firmly behind our leader even in days to come,” it added.
