NPF Minority Wing, Central & Dimapur meet party leaders

Dimapur, March 3 (MExN): Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF) Minority Wing, Central and Dimapur Division led by its Central President Bishnu Bhattacharjee held a series of meeting with Dr Shürhozelie President NPF, party leaders, TR Zeliang Leader of Opposition NLA, NPF MLAs and party seniors this week.

A press release from the Minority Wing President Roshan Tamang, Dimapur Division said it was held to strengthen relationship within party and community leaders. Various issues related to Permanent Non-Naga (Minority) settlers in Nagaland were discussed, the release said.

During discussion with Dr Shürhozelie, Central HQ assured safety and security of genuine party men and permanent residents from Non-Naga community in Nagaland. Dr Shürhozelie appreciated the works of NPF Minority Wing and its leadership since its inception. He also discussed on various contributions of Non-Naga permanent settlers before and after Nagaland Statehood at Dimapur district in particular and Nagaland in general.

The Minority team also met TR Zeliang on March 2 at his Dimapur residence. The release said it discussed on political and social issues related to Minority Community. Zeliang appreciated the initiative of Minority team for visiting high level political leaders in Nagaland, with the message of peace, tranquility and brotherhood amongst all the citizens.

Central President Bhattacharjee lauded the dynamic leadership of Dr Shürhozelie and TR Zeliang and emphasized on strengthening the existing peaceful and healthy coordination between Majority and Minorities of the state. Wing President stressed on unique history of Dimapurians and peaceful coexistence of Non-Naga community.

The team consisted of Roshan Tamang, President Minority Wing Dimapur Division; Sanjay Dey Working President; Apun Naben General Secretary; Shiv Kumar BK; Prem Shing Meetei; Debendra Rana; Roshan BK; Sahid; Asaad; Rajat Ghosh and other prominent office bearers from Central and Dimapur Division of NPF Minority Wing.
