Dimapur, October 25 (MExN): The Minority Wing of Naga People’s Front (NPF) has resolved to form a unit under Ghaspani I A/C and extend best possible service to the people of the constituency. Sujit Dey has been selected as convenor of the NPF Minority Wing, Ghaspani I A/C.
The decision was made during a coordination meeting of the NPF Minority Wing at CPO Hall, Chumukedima on October 23. The meeting highlighted issues related to linguistic minority community of Ghaspani I assembly constituency, according to a press release from Bikash Bramha, press secretary, NPF Minority Wing.
Renowned leaders of minority community attended the meeting, which was chaired by Sanjay Dey, VP Minority Wing, Dimapur division, and expressed views and suggestions.
Lepshi Ao, vice president and in-charge, NPF Minority Wing spoke on the objectives of the NPF and requested every citizen to participate in politics. He lauded the contribution of leaders from Kachari, Garo, Gorkha, Bengali and other non Naga communities in Dimapur district.
Bishnu Bhattacharjee, president, NPF Central Minority Wing highlighted the importance of political involvement and invited concerned citizens to join NPF and contribute to the society with political power and proper recognition in developmental activities, according to a press release. Aonungkum, in-charge of NPF Minority Wing, Dimapur division thanked party workers and appealed to all to work jointly to strengthen the party and bring development in the district.
