DIMAPUR, MAY 17 (MExN): The 2nd meeting of the NPF 58th Shamator-Chessore A/C (Village level reorganization programme) attended by village level office bearers, area office bearers, both general youth and women wing, public leaders, GBs etc was held at Shamator town on May 11. Speeches were delivered by R.Thongthong, working President NPF, Kechingkhum, Vice President NPF Youth Wing, Rejing, former President Youth Wing, Showuba Head GB Shamatore Town, Tohanba member CEC NPF. Almost all the speakers emphasized on the principles of reconciliation, unity, co-ordination and encouraged the village level party office bearers to work unitedly in the grass root level organizations inorder to strengthen the party stated a release issued by B.Hankiu, General Secretary NPF 58th Shamator. R.Tohanba member CEC NPF read out the programmes and policy of the DAN government and the strategy of the NPF party the release stated. He also expressed the importance of DAN programme for 2006-07 as the year of farmers and urged the party leaders to co-ordinate with the department officials and the public for smooth functioning of the programme the release stated.
The meeting also passed the following resolution during its meeting:
1. It reaffirmed its continuous support to the DAN government and its DAN legislature under the dynamic leadership of Neiphiu Rio, the chief minister of Nagaland and Dr.Shurhozelie, Minister Planning and Co-ordination, Urban Development, Higher Education, Statistics & Co-operation and President NPF, Nagaland. Recalling the developmental activities within Shamator, the NPF 58 Shamator has appreciated Neiphiu Rio, Tokheho Minister for Work and Housing and Mechanical for giving the PMRY road of Shiponger-Kiutsukiur, Kephor road in a phase wise manner, Nangpong-Helipong-Chessore road under NABARD etc besides other works in the department of PHE, CAWD, Urban Development, DUDA, Sericulture, Agriculture, Forest, Wasteland etc from the respective ministers in which the party feel that such long dreaming developmental works has change a new face in the area.
2. The NPF party has resolved to supervise the implementation and execution of ongoing works by different contractors within its jurisdiction and urged the departmental machineries/officials to supervise the work as quoted in the working estimates and get the work done effectively and transparently.
3. The party also resolved to organize the village level unit office bearers which left still unfinished and submit the list to the area office bearers at the earliest possible.
