Dimapur, July 14 (MExN): The NPF, reacting strongly to the charge of the NSCN-K that Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is being provided security protection by the NSCN-IM, has rubbished the allegations asserting that the credibility, efficacy and competency of the Nagaland Police is doubtless and the charges are “ill-motivated.”
“The party emphatically deplores such ill-motivated and well-fabricated design to malign the Chief Minister and the State Government. Such attempt of concocting things backed by ill-conceived minds to disturb and vitiate the initiative and effort of our government to maintain peaceful atmosphere in the state is a matter that deserves condemnation from all sections of the society” the NPF in a press statement said. “The Nagaland Police credibility, efficacy and (competency) is doubtless. Ours is a force which has the inherent ability to face and tackle any eventuality. Absolutely, they are strong and capable enough to protect and defend our people” the NPF asserted adding that it is “too illusory and irresponsible an organization to issue statement demeaning our police forces.”
“Indeed, it is very unfortunate that an organization which claims to have championing the cause of the people confines itself into a cocoon of habitually issuing illogical and malicious statements in the news media against individuals, groups and governments” the NPF stated while asserting that “an organization” is behaving in a “childish manner”.
“An organization and its leaders that truly stand for the people should speak and act with morality as the current trend of behaving in a childish manner simply signifies sheer absence of direction and vision. Such breed of leaders cannot lead and guide their people beyond the tip of their noses. The rest we leave it to the people to make their own judgment” the NPF stated.
