Dimapur, December 16 (MExN): Party office bearers of the Ato Area, Lower Sumi NPF Ghaspani-II Assembly Constituency have resigned ‘en masse’ as they have “lost confidence in the NPF party and its leadership.”
According to a press release, the decision was taken during an executive meeting held on November 25 and the group joined the NDPP on December 5. “The house unanimously resolved to support the candidature of sitting MLA and Advisor Zhaleo Rio, NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C in the 2023 Assembly Election to re-elect him for overall development and public welfare in view of his capability and proven success for public work,” Phuton Zhimo, President, Ato Area, Lower Sumi NPF Ghaspani-II A/C stated in the release.
The house further resolved to support the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Chingwang Konyak, President, NDPP for peace and all round development of the state, it added.
