NPF welcomes increased age limit in government service

KOHIMA, OCTOBER 16 (MExN): The Naga People's Front (NPF) has expressed its gratitude to the State Government for raising the age limit for job seekers entering government services. This decision aligns with a key commitment in the NPF's 2023 Election Manifesto, which proposed increasing the upper age limit for indigenous citizens to 40 years, a press release issued NPF press bureau stated on Wednesday.

The NPF believed that this policy will create new opportunities for many Naga youths who have previously faced barriers to government employment. It asserted that the change will enhance job accessibility and contribute to socio-economic development throughout Nagaland.

"This decision marks a positive step toward a more inclusive and equitable society, reflecting the NPF’s vision for the state," the NPF stated. The NPF remains committed to supporting initiatives that benefit the community and ensure equitable access to employment opportunities for all, it added.
