
Kohima, July 29 (MExN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Central Youth Wing (CYW), Public Grievances Cell (PGC) has appealed the Nagaland Public Works Department (NPWD) & Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) Cell to direct the concerned contractor complete the long pending “Construction of roads between Mimi via Khongka, Hakomutee under PMGSY 2012, Ph-WI, VIII.”
A press release issued by the General Secretary NPF CYW stated that the work has been allotted to “Hexad Syndicate” to complete the said work within a stipulated time, but it is “pity” that the contractor has allegedly “failed to complete his work,” and the work has been ongoing for 10 years “ordering extensions after extensions.”
“It is high time to for the work to be completed,” it stated.
The PGC also requested the public of the particular jurisdiction to co-operate with the contractor for any developmental activity and initiative in the region for a peaceful atmosphere as it is the top most priority in the society.
It further stated that such “precious development” takes place in the region after a gap of so many years and whosoever’s “misappropriate” or manipulate public fund or undertake “malicious rampart development” would be put to task “under provision of anti-corruption law.
