The successful candidates include Nikal Sumi Chophi from Ward No. 10, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC); Jonathan Yepthomi from Ward No. 23, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC); Vizokhoto George Kirha from Ward No. 14, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC); Aneü Khaming from Ward No. 16, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC); and Medoviu Martin Suohu from Ward No. 19, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC).
“These victories are not just wins for the party but for every citizen who envisions a progressive Nagaland. We remain committed to this vision, ensuring that our development initiatives are inclusive and impactful,” stated National General Secretary James PK Sangma.
The NPP attributed its success to the collective efforts of its members, including MLAs, State Executives, the Mahila and Youth wings, and Minority cells. The party also recognized the valiant efforts of its candidates who did not win this time, viewing these outcomes not as setbacks but as stepping stones toward future achievements.
“These victories reflect the populace's faith in NPP's vision for a prosperous and resilient Nagaland,” said a press release from the party. “We extend our profound gratitude to all our supporters and pledge to work tirelessly towards the state's development.”
The party reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that the development initiatives spearheaded by its leaders and members lead to sustainable benefits for all citizens of the state.
