National People’s Party (NPP) candidate Asu Keyho held a press conference in Kohima at The Hub addressing concerns in his constituency on February 22.

“Today when we look at our society, everything is in a shamble, where hopes of the people have faded. People are looking for a fresh change because we are tired of the present system of having self-centered leaders. We are filled with anger and frustrations because they failed us miserably in every sphere of life,” stated Keyho highlighting the plight of his constituency which is challenged by the lack of good roads, infrastructures, employment avenues despite of available resources in the land.

Three candidates -Asu Keyho, Keneizhakhro Nakhro from NPF and Er Kevisekho Kruse from NDPP will be contesting in the 8 Western Angami Assembly Constituency of the Nagaland General Elections 2018.

The Western Constituency which also covers some major part of Kohima town struggles with urban related problems which were highlighted by Keyho. “The road jams in the colony, the drainage system are in deplorable condition. We cannot afford to let our people suffer in this condition,” mentioned Keyho.

“My constituency is covering the heart of state capital. It is my obligation to help secure resources,” said Keyho. Unemployment being a major problem like the rest in Nagaland, Keyho pointed out the avenues available especially in the field of tourism and service sector. “We have capacities to developing tourist circuits. We have great demands for service sector,” added Keyho, who expressed the need to accommodate unemployed youth in such sectors.

“We foresee a coalition government and we feel that our party will be a deciding factor. Like NPP has been a deciding factor in Manipur, we shall be the deciding factor to give new directions and new hope to our people,” said Keyho.
