The National People's Party (NPP) election rally for party candidate Er. Levi Rengma under 12 Tseminyu A/C took place today at Tesophenyu local ground.
NPP Nagaland state vice president DP Angami in his address said that the NPP is gaining momentum in the country with its presence in Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Manipur, Meghalaya and now in Nagaland.
"NPP is our future," he said adding that it is the right party to bring change in the society.
He made a fervent appeal to the people to vote in favour of Er. Levi Rengma in the ensuing general election scheduled for February 27.
Basing on party manifesto, he stated that the party will focus on youth empowerment.
He also released the NPP manifesto, which among others, promised to work earnestly to bring forth in the state of Nagaland a pro people’s government which will have at its core the ideals of fair and stable governance, greater transparency and accountability.
Er. Levi in his address assured to work for all round development of the constituency. “Our party supports peace process and Naga solution to bring all round development,” he said.
He appealed to the electorates of 12 Tseminyu A/C to re-instill their faith in him and re-elect him to represent them in the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
G.K. Rengma, Shosinlo Cheng, Lakhapfu Kez, Sosinlo Kemp, Anchon Kath, Jwenga Himb and Dr. Khanlo Magh also spoke at the rally.
The function was chaired by Zukeya Woch while vote of thanks was proposed by N.R. Magh.
