DIMAPUR, JUNE 27 (MExN): The Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) has issued a statement clarifying on reports circulating in the social media claiming that “certain candidates (three in number) have qualified for viva-voce without even appearing written examination.”
The NPSC, in a press release, acknowledged that the routine for Combined Technical Services Examination (CTSE) 2021 was uploaded in the commission's website on September 20, 2021 and a revised/updated routine was uploaded again on September 24, 2021 which was necessitated on account of the post of 1 (one) post of Archivist having been reconsidered in accordance with the user department's clarification letter dated September 21, 2021.
The NPSC informed that the letter had said that the requisite educational qualification for Archivist should have Post Graduate in History or an MA with Diploma in Archives. It further said that candidates in History should not be rejected on the basis of "No Diploma in Archives.”
“As such vide a notification dated September 21, 2021 had allowed Post Graduate candidates with History for the said post with Archives as optional paper as per updated routine dated September 24, 2021,” the NPSC said.
It added that subsequently, another exam date scheduled on November 12, 2021 specifically for Archivist along with Computer Science (Degree) and MCA was notified vide a notice dated October 27, 2021.
“While, the Commission welcomes constructive criticism, certain individuals tend to pull down the image and prestige of the institution at the slightest available opportunity instead of trying to uphold,” the NPSC said.
