Dimapur, July 17 (MExN): The Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland (EUUN) came out strongly against the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) for alleged discrepancies and said that the NPSC has diverted from its sense of moral responsibilities as the apex recruiting body in the state.
A press release received ere from the EUUN Acting President, Achilo Thong and General Secretary Vizovor Bhelo, strongly said that the NPS has twisted its constitutional obligation for fulfilling the aspiration of the people for which it was originally incepted.
“”It is unfortunate to see that the NPSC, the apex body, which is supposed to recruit officers for future administration has diverted its sense of moral responsibilities from loyally carrying out ‘its’ powers and functions’ envisaged in the constitution of India to stubborn maverick corruption office,” the release stated.
The EUUN said that the role of the NPSC id to conduct free and fair competitive examinations to select competent bureaucrats for efficient delivery public service. The EUUN warned that it would be compelled to take its own course of action if the NPSC continues to commit injustice ‘elsewhere’ against the aspiring candidates. “The silence of the union must not be regarded as a sign of weakness. The union shall not remain a mute spectator,” stated that release.
The EUUN also directed the former union officials possessing the union documents to immediately hand it over to the union.
