NPSC reschedules written exam

Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): In partial modification of its earlier notification, the NPSC today said that the dates for the written examination of the NCS, NPS, NSS & Allied Services 2016 which was scheduled to be held from April 10-12 has been rescheduled to April 25-27.  

The reschedulement has been necessitated due to the unprecedented situation the state had undergone and in view of the “demand” made by the PSAN, Nagaland Public Service Commission said in a new notification issued by its Secretary Khrupi Sothu.  

It may further be notified that holding examination also depends on certain factors beyond the control of the Commission and therefore all concern may kindly bear the same in mind, NPSC added.    

NPSC debars candidate for three years  

Meanwhile, in another notification, the NPSC informed that the Commission has decided to debar one candidate from appearing any examination conducted by the Commission for a period of 3(three) years for “harassing and threatening the Commission’s officials without reason whatsoever.”  

The candidate conducted himself in a very “unruly manner” during the recently concluded Combined Technical Service Examination (CTSE) 2016 Exam held from February 25 to March 4, NPSC informed.  

After thorough deliberation at its meeting held on March 6, the Commission has decided to take the action under Rule 30(A) of the Nagaland Public Service Commission (State Civil & Other Services) Recruitment Rules 2008, 6th Amendment, 2011, it added.  

The Commission further maintained that in spite of various challenges, it is continuously striving to provide a candidate friendly environment to all aspirants and also expects “all candidates to maintain some degree of decorum.”
