NPYC supports KDCC’s demand on IFB

Kohima, November 7 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) today voiced support to the demands of Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) for IFB cancellation and urged the Urban Development Department to “immediately cancel the tender and implementation as per the guideline of Central Vigilance Commission (CVO) clause 11.”

Recognizing the discrepancies on e-Procurement Notice Invitation For Bids (IFB) issued by Urban Development Department dated October 18, NPYC President Vilhousielie Kenguruse in a press release questioned the department on what guidelines they asked the bidders to quote their bids “as per/above NPWD Schedule Of Rate (SOR) 2016” and those quoted below NPWD rate will not be accepted.

It prodded the department’s intention on the requirement for submitting tender fee, when the entire tender process is done online.

It further expressed surprise that the tender fee has to be submitted in cash (non-refundable), while adding such act was tantamount to manipulation and corruption.

The NPYC has “sought the intervention of the governor to check such manipulative precedence” being set by the concerned department and appealed to all right thinking citizens to support “in the larger interest and welfare of the society.”
