Dimapur June 2 (MExN): The Nyiro Range Students Union and its units declared their support to the move undertaken by the Lotha Students Union, on the PM’s Package, impasse during the presidential meeting held at the LSU office on May 29.
According to sources, the resolution was taken after a thorough deliberation by the federating units’ presidents and representatives of various ranges and villages on the PMS Package issue. The choice was considered to be a wise decision, considering the larger interests of the people for various developmental activities going on in the district under the PMS Package. It was added that the decision was not based on the vested interest of some individuals, but on the decision made by the leaders of various federating units.
The NSRU, in a press release issued by the vice president, finance secretary, and advisor of the union, also reaffirmed its full support to the LSU, for taking what it stated was the right decision at a critical time. They also extended their gratitude to Dr T M Lotha, Health and Family Welfare minister, for his concern and support towards the Nyiro Range.
