NRYO 1st Literary Day – For a better tomorrow

Kohima, August 24 (MExN): The New Reserve Youth Organization (NRYO), Kohima organized its 1st Literary Day at New Reserve Police Drill Shed on August 22. It was conducted under the theme ‘For a better tomorrow’.  

Vekhosa Chakhesang, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kohima, who graced the opening ceremony as guest, exhorted the youths present to lead an exemplary and dignified life. He further called upon the youth not to be hesitant in approaching elders for advice, but grab opportunities available at their disposal.  

All the six sectors of the colony, namely Tekhuba, Upper MT, Lower MT, Dairy Farm, Project and IG sector, participated in the literary meet.  

The meet conducted essay writing, debate, spelling bee, extempore, mascot making, story-telling, quiz, and painting competitions for different categories.  

Earlier, Dr Asalie Khezhie, Chairman, New Reserve Council exhorted the youths and Hoinato Ayemi delivered the welcome address.  

The programme culminated with a prize distribution ceremony chaired by General Secretary Mhashekhoto Chürhah and Treasurer Achano Kikhi.
