NSACS RockAware grand finale on Oct 15

The NSACS RockAware – A Red Ribbon Super Star campaign with the key message “Aids is one problem. We Care!” The musical journey that took place in 11 districts searching for one best band from each district to perform at the grand finale slated on October 15 at the DDSC Stadium Dimapur.
Addressing the media at Dream Café today, the 10th October 2011, Commissioner & Secretary Health & Family Welfare, Menukhol John said that 86 bands participated in the competition with a total crowd attendance of 19,940 people. The selected bands for the grand finale are as follows: Cadence – Kohima; Hardcore Addition – Phek; Cliffers – Kiphire; P-Brunch – Longleng; Tears of Judas – Tuensang; RASP – Mon; Maskil Praise – Peren; Avancer – Dimapur; In Da Name – Mokokchung; Anti-Trust – Zunheboto and AOF – Wokha.
The Grand Finale will witness special performance by Alo Wanth Band, UFR free Stylers, Melodrama and the concert highlights performance by Grammy Winner P.T. Bishwas Mohan Bhatt.
NSACS RockAware is an initiative of NACO. The Chief Patron is the Music Task Force (YRS) Government of Nagaland and Legislature Forum on AIDS LFA as the chief event partner. At the grand finale the winner will receive Rs. 1 lakh, 60 thousand and 40 thousand for the first and second runners-up respectively.
Event partners are Wishing Well, Unitex INC, Crescendo, Audio Garage, Neo Vision, Rapple and Hum Music Society, XL Foundation and Dream Café. The press conference was attended by NSACS Project Director, Dr. Nadira Changkija, MTF Music Director, Gugs Chishi, Event Co-ordinator, Theja Meru and NSACS RockAware Grand Ambassador, Renbeni Odyuo.
