NSCB organizes grassroot leaders meet at Changtongya

Kohima | June 23 : The Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Limited (NSBC) organized a grassroot leaders meet on “Economic growth through financial inclusion “at Changtongya Town Hall on June 21 last.
Speaking on the topic “Economic growth through financial inclusion,” NSCB vice chairman Rajuselie Lhousa called upon every household to get themselves cover under financial inclusion, while on the other hand get support of credit facility and attain economic growth.  He informed the gathering that the NSCB is ready to offer every facility available.
The vice chairman appealed the VCs and VDBs to execute their powers in a more cautious manner while recommending loan applications and shoulder more responsibility for timely recovery. Lhousa also disclosed that Changtongya is one of the most prospective areas for the bank to do business as NSCB is the lone bank in the area. He also asserted that the NSCB need to play more active role for better service to the locality.
Also speaking on the occasion, Chubawati Chang SDO(c) Changtongya, asked the people of Changtongya to give full support to the branch. He appreciated the people for the prevailing peaceful and harmonious atmosphere under his administrative jurisdiction. Lanuakum, chief advisor of Changtongya town council expressed gratitude to the visiting team for the concern shown to the people of Changtongya and assured to give all possible help to the bank. Aowati Sangtam, DGM and Disong, NO (MFC) from Head Office also spoke on the occasion.
T. Hellen Ao, Branch Manager chaired the meeting while invocation prayer was pronounced by Pastor T. Yanger CTBA.
Altogether, 83 members representing VCs, VDBs, Cooperative societies, SHGs, Farmers Clubs and public leaders attended the meeting. The NSCB Changtongya will complete 25 yrs of service on September 5 this year. Mentionably, the fertile soil and climate is suitable for horticulture farming in the area.
