Wokha, July 19 (MExN): The Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NSCB), Wokha Branch and Team Metamorphosis today had a consultative meeting at the former’s office to discuss possibility of a joint venture for the uplift of the common people of Wokha district through the Joint Liability Group (JLG) programme, informed a press release from Team Metamorphosis President, Thungdemo Kyong.
Chairing the meeting, Nandu, the NSCB Wokha Branch Manager explained the policies of the bank in channeling the facilities to the underprivileged. He pointed out that Bangladesh is growing tremendously due to the government and the financial institutions reaching out to the common people who contribute the major part in determining the economy of the country. As far as Nagaland is concerned, he acknowledged, the Eleutheros Christian Society of Tuensang has been working very effectively to uplift the lives of the lesser privileged and also the Chakesang Women Welfare Society in the Chakesang area, the release said.
In the course of the discussion, Team Metamorphosis members also raised number of questions. The Branch Manager reminded the Team to learn from the Eleutheros Christian Society and other successful organizations about the management and execution of the bank’s policies.
Team Metamorphosis stated it will carefully study the policies and mechanisms and will get back to the bank, after which, the two parties will finalize the matter for further course of action.
