Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): Personnel of 29 Assam Rifles apprehended one GPRN/NSCN cadre on February 6. A press release from AR informed that one .22 pistol with a magazine and four live rounds were seized from him. The cadre identified as Akato Zhimomi, 31, has been handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur, the release noted.
Arms and explosives recovered: In a joint search operation launched by 37 Assam Rifles and 11 AR at the house of Akho Angami in Ward No 9, Medziphema, one 7.65mm pistol, six live rounds of ammunition, one magazine, three gelatine sticks, nine detonators and about 200 gms of lead pellets were recovered. The owner of the house was not present when the recoveries were made, stated a press release. However, FIR has been lodged with Medziphema Police.
