Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has issued a notification alleging that “valley-based armed organisations” in Manipur are illicitly interfering with developmental projects in the Naga hill areas through departmental authorities.
In a press release issued by its Cabinet Secretary Capt (Retd) Th Rainam, it stated that this interference is “directly or indirectly hampering” developmental activities.
The press release asserted that the “Hill people have not and will not interfere” in projects in the Manipur valley and cautioned the valley-based groups “not to needlessly encumber themselves with projects earmarked for the Hills.”
It also directed concerned departments to be “cautious and devout themselves in sincerely executing their administration,” adding that respecting the sentiments of different communities was essential for development.
The NSCN (IM) stated that this notification was issued in continuation of its earlier directives from its “Ministry of Kilo Affairs” dated March 11 and August 26, 2025, and “as instructed by the concerned competent authority.”
