Kohima, October 4 (MExN): A cadre of NSCN (IM) was apprehended by security forces alongwith contrabands in general area Ward 9, Chümoukedima, Dimapur October 2, an official release stated today.
The arrest was made when the Security Forces alongwith police representative launched an operationin the area based on specific intelligence input regarding illegal activities, informed the press release issued by Col Sanjiv Sethi, PRO, HQ IGAR (N).
According to the release, 1460 SP Capsules, 12 cases of rum and whisky, and two cases of canned beer amounting to Rs 2.7 lakh approximately were recovered during the operation.
The apprehended individual along with recovered items was handed over to Chumukedima Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation, it added.
