DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 13 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has announced significant victories against rival forces, attributing these successes to “divine protection.”
Recently, the KNA (B), in collaboration with PDF and Assam Rifles (AR), launched attacks on the Naga Army in the Naga areas bordering Myanmar, a MIP press statement issued on Friday alleged. Despite these coordinated assaults, the Naga Army successfully repelled the attackers, causing substantial damage to the enemy forces, it stated.
On September 3, 2024, the same enemy groups, in a drunken state, attempted another ambush. The Naga Army reported the death of 4 enemy combatants and the capture of advanced weaponry, emerging unharmed, the MIP claimed.
On September 11, 2024, the Naga Army launched an offensive against the KNA (B) defense line, neutralizing 9 enemy fighters without any casualties. However, continuous drone attacks forced the Naga Army to retreat, although they captured an AK-81 and various ammunitions, the MIP statement read.
It also claimed that the Jadonang Brigade, NP Battalion, and Central Command of the Naga Army, in collaboration with CAO and Zeilad staff, reintegrated 14 former members from ZUF, NSCN-K, and NNC into the NSCN fold. The members, who admitted to being misled, included 3 from NSCN-K, 1 from NNC, and 10 from ZUF, it said.
The NSCN (IM) also highlighted growing support from the Naga people, particularly in Tamenglong and South Nagalim, where the Rongmei Peoples have reaffirmed their support for the historic Framework Agreement as the preferred solution for the Indo-Naga political issue.
