Dimapur, Dec 15 (MExN): The NSCN-IM clarifies on a new item alleging another Sumi functionary in the NSCN-IM ‘escaping’ an assassination bid. ‘Joint Secretary’ of MIP Ghukato Assumi in a clarification stated that Kiyeshe, ‘SO’ who had been serving in the MIP, was found culpable of irregularities in his duties as well as dereliction of responsibilities. Following this, repeated explanation calls were issued but failed to elicit any response.
The MIP took note that Kiyeshe was supposed to be married, which was conveyed over phone “but as proper procedure for every national worker to get married has certain codes and official formalities to be observed” and the response for the same was elicited from him.
Following his failure to report to duties despite repeated intimations officially during a ministerial meeting, after lapse of the explanation period, the MIP forwarded his case to the “higher authorities” for suspension from duties as per the “GPRN discipline” the clarification stated. “In this view, all accusations and allegations are devoid of any truth and are simply to malign and paint communalistic image on the GPRN which is entirely false” the MIP added.
