NSCN (IM) clarifies position

Dimapur, August 13 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has stated its position to all in concern that it does not entertain or own any responsibility whatsoever for any press release or statement issued by any vested individual whether public or “national worker” except that comes through the ‘MIP/GPRN’ and “PRO Naga army.” “The writing of the so called Lieut. Hukato Yeptho, if such person so exists as recently appeared in some sections of local dailies does not in any way reflect the stance of the government and further, the NSCN/GPRN does never endorse any of his writing”, stated a press note from MIP. It further stated  that it had “no knowledge and has nothing to do with his writing whatsoever”.

The note stated that whatever statement made by him (Hukato Yeptho), if any, as stated was done so only in his individual capacity and not otherwise. “The unfounded confusing allegation of inventing and fabricating the name of Hukato Yeptho, fictitiously by the NSCN/GPRN just to malign and damage the image of any tribe or organization does not arise at all”, stated the  note. “Therefore, the baseless and unsubstantiated willful allegation leveled against the NSCN/GPRN has to be clarified and substantiated by the aggrieved responsible person himself with utmost care”. The press note also requested the media “to entertain any article or statement from any individual/authority of NSCN/GPRN only after confirmation from the MIP/GPRN and PRO Naga army”.
