DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 6 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has condemned the alleged physical assault on DK Korungthang Maring on January 30 allegedly by the paramilitary personnel of 3rd Assam Rifles stationed at Tengnoupal, Manipur. Expressing shock over the incident, the NSCN (IM) alleged that the 3rd AR personnel looted Rs 4 lakh in cash and a Maruti Gypsy after giving 3rd degree torture to DK Maring. “This is nothing less than committing dacoity. Those AR personnel involved in the crime deserves to be meted befitting punishment after getting them arrested and tried under IPC applicable to torture and dacoity,” the NSCN (IM) stated.
