DIMAPUR, AUGUST 5 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) today stated that it has constituted an enquiry committee with regard to the reported abduction of 4 members of the NSCN/GPRN (Akato) and the subsequent death of a Deputy Kilonser while in their custody in Tizit on July 31. A press release from the MIP of the NSCN (IM) said that it was “not impressed at all over the unfortunate Tizit incident where Akato Chopy member Temzei died in the hands of Aro Range under Konyak Region on August 1.” “That brings us to the situation to issue delayed clarification as we were compelled to go deeper into the incident,” it stated. The NSCN (IM) said that the Tizit incident happened “without the knowledge of any authority,” and that “even the Kilo Kilonser was not informed.” “We have therefore, not taken the issue lightly as it involved reckless violation of rules as applicable. Enquiry Committee has been constituted and strong action shall be initiated against those involved,” it assured.
