Imphal, June 11: The NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region has urged the NSCN-IM to be practical while carrying out its activities with regards to the motto of the latter’s “Nagaland for Christ.”
The NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region accused the NSCN-IM of meting out atrocities against the general public. The spokesman of the NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region alleged that though the NSCN-IM’s motto has been “Nagaland for Christ”, the Isak-Muivah led outfit had created bad blood between the 'Nagas and the Kukis and then the Meiteis and the Nagas' the scars of which still remains unhealed.'
The NSCN-K spokesman said that creating communal problems and hatred among the various communities is totally against the teaching of Jesus Christ and hence the motto “Nagaland for Christ” pursuesd by the NSCN-IM is hollow and void.
The NSCN-K of the Zeliangrong Region also threatened to launch a massive operation against the NSCN-IM in the Zeliangrong Region while giving deadline to vacate the NP Battalion of the NSCN-IM within this current month from the Zeliangrong area or else face the consequences. Pledging to drive out the whole of NSCN-IM’s NP Battalion which located somewhere in Tamenglong district within this month, the NSCN-K stated that every possible preparation has been completed to thwart the NSCN-IM.
Blaming a particular community for the various problems incurred in the Zeliangrong Region, the NSCN-K cautioned the general public to be aware of the tactics of that community.
Claiming to have intruded into the NSCN-IM stronghold which is the Tamenglong headquarter, the NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region said that few days back cadres of the NSCN-K openly came out in the Tamenglong bazaar and asked the cadres from the rival faction to come out for open challenge but NSCN-IM cadres ran helter-skelter in which some cadres took refuge at 35 Assam Rifles camp while other NSCN-IM cadres took shelter at police station and 5th Manipur Rifles camp. The NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region further claimed that no NSCN-IM cadres are now ready to openly roam about in the Zeliangrong Region.
The NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region says that it is genuinely working for the Naga cause and that the outfit does not believe in factional killings among the NSCN-IM, NSCN-K and the NNC/FGN. Alleging that NSCN-IM tartar MK Winning knows nothing about Naga politics, the NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region wondered whether even the tartar knows where 'Th.Muivah and Isak Chisi Swu lives.'
