Dimapur, June 29 (MExN): The NSCN-IM “is turning to God,” organizing a three-day “national” fasting and prayer programme under the aegis of ‘Council of Nagalim Churches’ at Camp Hebron. The programme began today and will continue till July 1.
In submitting to the many sins committed by the “national workers” and the Naga people before God as well as to “save the spiritual existence of NSCN” the programme was themed “Total loyalty to God” an MIP note stated highlighting the prayer programme. Speakers focused on the urgency of the “national workers” and the Nagas to ‘leave aside sinful life’ by surrendering to God to save the nation, it stated.
Director of Christian Reformation Ministry said that the people’s support is the strength and obedience to God is the weapon. He appealed to the gathering to make the fasting-prayer programme fruitful and power ful “to remove the evils of the society” the note stated.
Missionary Rev. Thakzii in his message on the theme “Total loyalty to God” said that if the theme had been preached and followed long time back “there would have been no underground today with Nagas enjoying the status of independence.” He encouraged the gathering to seek God whole-heartedly and assume that God will answer the prayer.
Brother Thomas spoke on the theme ‘you must remain in complete loyalty to God and not partial loyalty.’ Quoting from the Gospel of Matthew, he reminded that ‘for mortals it is impossible, but for God everything is possible.” Miraculous healing also took place, the MIP note informed. Brother Thomas also asked the healed to “cross-check” with medical doctors. He appealed to the congregation to pray and have faith in God for He would answer accordingly.
