Dimapur July 10 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) on Saturday expressed sadness at the demise of ZV Kahangpam who passed away at the age of 102.
Popularly addressed as ‘Napoleon’, late Kahangpam was from Sirarakhong village under Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR) based in Dimapur, Nagaland, the NSCN (IM) stated in its condolence message.
It acknowledged his role and contribution, stating that he left “no stone unturned to show his love for the Naga nation. He was a person who defied his age if the situation demands his presence and travelled anywhere to make his presence felt through his prayer and words of encouragement and support,” it added.
Stating that not only late Kahangpam but also his entire family members are known for their attachment to the with the Naga national service, the NSCN (IM) said that he was an upright man and shall be dearly missed.
“The NSCN on behalf of the Naga nation express sincere condolences and pray that our Lord grant the bereaved family members and close friends the strength to bear the loss,” it said and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
