Dimapur, January 27 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has denied any involvement in the alleged arson incident reported recently at K. Songlung village in Kangpokpi district of Manipur. According to reports, the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) (Kamson) had claimed responsibility for the incident.
In a rebuttal statement issued on January 27, the NSCN (IM) said it was “regrettable” that its name had been linked to the incident and described the allegations as “unfounded and malicious.”
“In no manner whatsoever are we connected with ZUF (Kamson) in relation to this kind of operation against poppy cultivation,” the NSCN (IM) categorically asserted.
